Inclusion and Equality in the EU’s Peace Work

UN Security Council Resolution 1325, adopted in 2000, calls for the inclusion of women in peacebuilding and conflict prevention in national and international decision-making. SaferGlobe’s publication examines what the resolution entails and how it is reflected in practice in the EU’s peace work and civilian crisis management training. The publication also discusses the future prospects for women in Afghanistan, the gender equality work being carried out in the EULEX Kosovo operation, and how the war in Georgia affected the civilian population.
