Application Period for the Rapoport Peace Prize 2021 Now to 27th August, 2021

The Anatol Rapoport- peace research fund has opened the nomination period for its Rapoport Peace Prize. The nomination period is open until the 27th of August, 2021.

The prize is for a master´s thesis from a university or a university of applied sciences, which find cross- or multidisciplinary potentials to support peace.

The prize will be given to a high quality Master´s thesis, which was published in 2020 or 2021. The Prize is awarded according to the scientific merits of the thesis, cross- or multidisciplinary approaches used and potentials found to support peace.

The 2021 prize is 200 euros and it will be given in September 2021. The prize recipient and those receiving honorary mentions will have the opportunity to present their work in a seminar organized in conjunction with the prize awarding ceremony.

The nominations for prize recipient must be made by the 27th of August, 2021. The nominations can be done by the Master´s student themselves or, for example, their supervisor. All nominations are to be made using the online www-form:  https://forms.gle/UXmSMrbAMYtdn8dF9.

The Anatol Rapoport- peace research fund supports multidisciplinary peace research and publication of research. The fund is a named fund of the Leo Mechelin Foundation (https://leomechelinsaatio.fi/). It´s funding was received in 2020 from four individual donors, who support peace research. SaferGlobe acts as the fund´s administrative partner.
